Stop motion animations..a complex and intriguing force of art..among the most captivating, Johnny Kelly created this “two-minute animated voyage through nature’s life cycle, following the trials and tribulations of a humble apple seed”. The film was kindly funded by Adobe, made using their CS4 range of software. It was produced at Nexus Productions and features a soundtrack by Jape. It was made using a mixture of stop motion papercraft and 2D drawn animation. ::::Keep your eyes peeled and your synapses ready for David ByH2o’s brilliant animation, set to stimulate your neurons in the near future.

Andy Goldsworthy is a British sculptor & photographer living in Scotland who creates installations and  natural sculptures that become ‘earth art’ in natural and urban environments. He utilizes natural and found objects to give life to creations that are both temporary and permanent…creating a feeling that recognizes the balance between nature’s transient growth cycles and the permanence of the urban world.
Each sculpture or installation gives life and animation to its organic elements, and Goldsworthy commonly uses mass amounts of twigs, thorns, stones, mud, trees,  snow, flowers, leaves, pinecones, nuts, icicles…and more of nature’s most inviting mediums.

Some of Goldworthy’s design is only exists moments, just long enough to preserve a photographic record.  His art is born and lived as the sun melts the ice, the incoming tide breaks up the piled driftwood, or the stream carries away the meticulously forged chain of leaves. His books, “Time” and “Hand to Earth” contain beautiful photographs of his ethereal work.

You can remove ink…..but you cant remove a hole.

Russian artist Dmitry Maximov created a playful world of fantasy and reality with his unique photography and illustration skills. His work takes a fascinating look at the world, as his mysterious creatures explore their surroundings in a work titled “Invaded by Little Aliens”. Maximov gently captures these inquisitive little creatures in their most whimsical moments of wonder, curiosity, and contemplation.

Since August New Era has held a “design your own hat” contest. Hats have been such a growing medium for design we just had to jump into the fire.
Thanks to all who put up with our countless posts on various social networks, but the hard clicks have paid off. N.E had 20,000 submissions to sift through and im glad we could make an impression in this bogged down design world.
